KNCV Tuberculosis FoundationIn the past 25 years, KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation, a Dutch NGO, has become one of the leading International Technical Agencies that pioneered the DOTS Tuberculosis (TB) control method and thus contributed significantly to the success of global TB control. In Indonesia, KNCV has been working closely with The Ministry of Health since 1992. Through TBCARE I, a five year program funded by USAID, KNCV leads a coalition, the Tuberculosis Coalition for Technical Assistance (TBCTA), which supports TB control in Indonesia . TBCARE I focuses on key areas such as TB-DOTS expansion and strengthening, programmatic management of drugs resistant TB, TB-HIV Care and treatment, and health system strengthening. Currently KNCV is looking for Deputy Country Project Director (DCPD) for TB CARE I Indonesia/ Deputy Country Representative Officer (DCRO) of KNCV in Indonesia

General:
Although the Country Representative Officer (CRO)/ Country Project Director (CPD) for TB CARE I in Indonesia is in general responsible for managing and coordinating all activities of KNCV Indonesia and TB CARE I Indonesia, he will delegate to the DCRO/DCPD for TB CARE I and KNCV Indonesia, the supervision of personnel, financial and administrative affairs. It concerns a full time position within the KNCV Representative Office in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Tasks:
He/she is responsible for:

  1. In case of absence of the CRO/CPD act as his/her representative;
  2. Overseeing and supervising all administrative, personnel and financial affairs within the office of KNCV in Indonesia;
  3. Planning the human resources and overseeing recruitment, placement and annual performance assessment of all national employed staff;
  4. Planning and supervising the training and professional development of national stag;
  5. Maintenance of knowledge management tools ,
  6. Supervising and strengthening public relation and communication systems
  7. Overseeing the grant funds of TB CARE I Indonesia,
  8. Ensuring that all quarterly and annual financial reports are submitted in an accurate and timely fashion;
  9. Coordinating the logistic support for incoming international consultants;
  10. Assist in managerial and organizational activities that are directly or indirectly related to the implementation of TB CARE I – Indonesia upon request of the CRO/CPD;
  11. Participate in the regular coordination meetings of TB CARE I-Indonesia partners;

Profile:

  • Academic Master degree preferable in public administration or comparable qualification;
  • Professional working experience in (public) health programs preferred;
  • Extensive professional experience in working in and/or with NGO’s;
  • Working experience with USAID funded programs;
  • Managerial (program) experience of at least ten years;
  • Excellent leadership qualities;
  • Excellent language skills and fluent in written and oral English and the Indonesian language;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Excellent didactic/training and personal relations skills;
  • Strong affinity with working in a multi cultural working environment;
  • Willingness to work at irregular working hours;
  • Willingness to travel frequently;
  • Strong ability to work under stress.
