Safety, Health & Environment (SH&E) Risk Manager

The role of SH&E Manager is a key leadership role for a business which prides itself on delivering outstanding SH&E performance. This position reports directly to the Site Director and the successful applicant will also be a key member of the Site Management Team. The position has a number of direct reports to support the development of world’s best safety and quality management systems

Accountabilities include:

  • The establishment of the business risk based process safety management system and SH&E management systems
  • To actively work with the Management Team to develop an outstanding safety culture for the site
  • Ensure the Site complies to all Company and Statutory SH&E requirements. This includes all necessary reporting to Government institutions
  • To network effectively with Orica s region and global SH&E teams to ensure best practice is established for the site and shared back to all other business units
  • To actively develop a professional team to support the Sites SH&E and Quality performance
  • Lead the development of the business quality management system

Prerequisites

  • Chemical Engineering Degree or Chemistry Degree – Minimum 10 years SH&E and Risk Management experience within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical or similar industry with a minimum 5 years as a Manager of a SH&E or Risk Management Team
  • Substantial experience with Risk Management processes such as HAZOP, CHAZOP, SIS, SIL, Risk Assessment, Hazardous area etc. Ideally a registered HAZOP Leader
  • Substantial experience in the use of effective Safety Management Systems
  • Demonstrated experience in working proactively with Government regulatory bodies
  • Exceptionally high personal SH&E integrity and standards
  • Ideally experience with Quality Management Systems
  • Ideally previous experience in the start up of a large scale petrochemical facility

Senior Mechanical Engineer

The role of Senior Mechanical Engineer at KM is to provide Leadership for the Mechanical Engineering disciplines including the Mechanical Reliability team the position reports directly to the Site Reliability Manager

Accountabilities will also include

  • To support the site objectives of Safety Quality Reliability and People Development
  • Compliance with Company & Statutory Engineering Standards by appointment as the Responsible Mechanical Engineer for the Bontang site
  • Compliance with the relevant Company & Statutory Standards for Static & Rotating equipment
  • To assist in the Development & Implementation of the KM Reliability Roadmap (Continuous Improvement Process)
  • To assist in the Development & Support of the Mechanical SH&E Procedures, Systems and Risk Assessment Processes.
  • To Develop, Implement and Maintain the Mechanical Plans for the site Static & Rotating Equipment through the use of SAP PM

Prerequisites

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree – Minimum 10 years experience in Maintenance / Reliability within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical or similar industry
  • Leadership Position within a Reliability or Maintenance Team
  • Substantial experience with Rotating Equipment- including Compressors, Turbines, Pumps
  • Substantial experience with Static equipment – Pressure Vessels, Columns, Exchangers, Boilers, Steam Drums
  • Proven Safety knowledge & experience
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems HAZOP experience
  • Proven experience with Engineering Standards Integrity Inspection experience preferred

Senior Electrical Superintendent

The role of Senior Electrical Superintendent at KM is to provide Leadership for the site in Electrical Safety and Equipment Reliability. The position reports directly to the Site Reliability Manager

Accountabilities will also include:

  • Supporting the site objectives of Safety, Quality, Reliability and People Development
  • Appointment as the Responsible Electrical Engineer for the Bontang site
  • Ensuring site Compliance to the relevant Company Policies & Statutory Standards for High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) Equipment and Distribution systems
  • Direct responsibility for Safe and Reliable operation of HV distribution equipment
  • Ensuring personnel are suitably Trained and Authorized to safely carry out work on and around electrical equipment
  • To assist in the Development & Implementation of the KN1 Reliability Roadmap (Continuous Improvement Process).
  • To assist in the Development & Support of the Electrical SH&E Procedures, Systems and Risk Assessment Processes.
  • To Develop, Implement and Maintain the Electrical Plans for the site HV / LV and Distribution Equipment through the use of SAP PM

Prerequisites

  • Electrical Engineering Degree – Minimum 10 years experience in Maintenance / Reliability roles within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical,
