G-Resources is an Asia-Pacific gold company, based and listed in Hong Kong, and is operating the Martabe Gold Mine in North Sumatera. Having poured our first gold bars, the mine and processing plant is now focused on achieving the ramp up phase to go into full production. The open cut mine, with an average strip ratio of less than 1.4:1, and a conventional processing circuit incorporating jaw crushing, SAG and ball milling and CIL, is targeting to initially process 4.5mtpa to produce 250,000 ounces of gold and 3 million ounces of silver annually. The Martabe Gold Mine is striving to maintain an excellent track record in responsible mining practices, and clear commitment to compliance to mining regulations as well as developing and managing mining activities with the involvement of local communities.

To strengthen the existing management team and to ensure the achievement of the company objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill the role:

SCM Technical Advisor – Procurement & Contracts (SCM 1295)

This position will be based in Martabe Site and reports directly to Supply & Logistic Manager.

This position is responsible to assist the Supply Chain Manager in relation to SCM Departments operations as well as supporting skills development of the Superintendents for Procurement & Contracts. This includes planning, organizing and controlling the activities of the PTAR Supply Chain Department in order to approve and manage supply and commercial aspects of all services focusing on contracting & procurement throughout all PTAR operations and user departments in accordance with PTAR standards, policies and procedures, Indonesian Law and Martabe Mine Contract of Work. The position shall ensure a high level of support to user departments through cost effective procurement and contracting, goods procurement and services contract bidding, negotiating, preparation, administration and management and applying an ethical, efficient, risk managed, consistent and cost effective at every stage of the supply process.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Degree qualified in SCM discipline or alternatively relevant practical experience in a similar role.
  • Degree in business, law, engineering or equivalent, specialized supply chain related training preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in a range of supply chain management functions within industry with a minimum 3 of those years working in Indonesia. Working knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Sound understanding of relevant Indonesia business, legal system, company law, manpower, importation, mines and energy regulations.
  • Well developed computer skills to be able to implement and maintain effective processes and procedures
  • Strong analytical capabilities and negotiating skills, sound business sense, advanced English Language documentation skills with high attention detail.
  • Strong ability to plan, organize work and maintain adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Experienced Pronto ERP System user.
