Drydocks World facilities operate in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. In Southeast Asia, Drydocks World unites leading expertise at the world’s crossroads of busiest shipping lanes, and close proximity to major offshore oil and gas field developments in Singapore and Batam Island, Indonesia. Diverse marine activities are focused in 4 shipyards, namely: Singapore, Graha, Nanindah and Pertama. Collectively these encompass 29 building berths, 8 floating docks, and a specialised rig building yard.

The right candidates for our yards must be able to develop and support an excellent safety culture and possess a sound knowledge of shipyard practices. They should also have practical experience in the rig building, shipbuilding or ship repair sectors, having held relevant positions in the marine or offshore industry. Lead Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Perform the duties of a Project Engineer if required
  • Monitor the project schedule and assist in implementing project design plans
  • Design equipment and machinery layout and perform relevant analysis
  • Develop and review all electrical drawings prepared
  • Solve interferences with other engineering disciplines
  • Participate in inclining experiments and other tests
  • Witness equipment FAT, docks trials, sea trials and conduct inspections

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Naval Architecture or relevant discipline
  • 3-5 years experience in the Marine and Offshore Industry
  • 2-3 years in a Design Office supported with project management experience
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD
  • Willing to travel with good analytical and communication skills
  • Indonesian candidates will be considered for the Batam position
  • Candidates for the position in Singapore should be willing to work in Tuas
