Responsibilities / Account-abilities:

  • Coordinates and supervises Wireline Logging & Perforating Field Operations via personnel and equipment assignment, job/project management skills, and technical support.
  • Works independently to review resource planning (equipment and personnel) in order to deliver services in a cost effective and efficient manner.
  • Execute special projects, as assigned.
  • Monitors daily progress of jobs or projects, and provides technical guidance and work direction to field staff.
  • Conducts regular Field Audits to ensure adherence to company policies and best practices.
  • Provides technical solutions to customers whenever required.
  • Mentors subordinates to ensure progression of staff and enhancement of skill sets.

Desired / Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in a technical field or equivalent.
  • 8+ years experience in Open Hole and Cased Hole Wireline Logging and Perforating operations, onshore and offshore, with a minimum of 2 years in an Operations Coordinator role, managing multiple worksites and multiple clients.
  • Thorough understanding of Wireline Logging and Perforating services.
  • Thorough understanding of customer requirements.
  • Thorough understanding of field processes/procedures to conduct safe and efficient operations.
  • Proficient in the use of PCs. Knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
  • Ability to use specialized skills, knowledge, and problem solving techniques to provide solutions.
  • Customer Service and/or Sales Experience considered advantageous.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • Under minimal supervision receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on well site activity. Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met.

  • Performs assembly, checking, and loading necessary equipment required for scheduled TCP, PL, DSS and/or other “specialty” jobs; including operations and maintenance of equipment and facility.
  • Works with drill crew on location to assemble and run the Tubing Conveying Perforating (TCP), Product Logging (PL) or Downhole Seismic (DSS) equipment.
  • Provides record of such equipment and other assemblies as run to the Customer Representative at the well site.
  • Advises Customer Representative in spotting and actuating such equipment and may advise the Customer Representative in troubleshooting.
  • Drives Company vehicles in a safe manner, observing all Company and government regulations and arrives at well site or other designated destination at scheduled time.
  • Assists with the training of assigned personnel in such operations and maintenance.
  • Maintains records and communications as required by District Manager.
  • Promotes and maintains good customer relations. Carries out all required responsibilities safely and as described in Managing Base Operations, Managing Well Operations, and Managing Equipment and Logistics manuals. Performs other related duties as required.
  • Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.

Desired / Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two year Technical Degree preferred (Mechanical).
  • 5 years experience in Case Hole Operations and Perforating
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the skill profile required for the delivery of Directional Systems services at the well site.
  • Ability to work in challenging Directional Systems environments and to provide complex solutions to the Customer.
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills; and excellent customer awareness.
  • Ability to relate to well site personnel at all levels, be a strong team member, and demonstrate leadership capability.

  • Technical diploma (D3) or Associates degree in Electronic or Mechanical field.
  • Versed in fluid power technology, AC/DC circuits and electro-mechanical devices.
  • Proficient in the use of oscilloscopes. 2+ years maintenance related experience in electro-mechanical function or minimum 2 years relevant industrial experience (airline, military, oilfield, automotive, electronic).
  • Advanced skills in soldering and assembling of electro-mechanical devices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists and follow formal procedures and maintenance practices.
  • Proficient in the use of millimetres, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers and other basic instruments.
  • Proficient in the use of asurement and gauging equipment and processes. Advanced computer skills.
