The Karama PSC was awarded to Statoil Indonesia Karama AS (a subsidiary of StatoilHydro ASA, Norway) and partners Pertamina in March 2007. The Block covers an area of just under 5000 sqkm and lies in deepwater, West of Sulawesi, Indonesia. The block was won on a firm work commitment of the acquisition and processing of 1900 sqkm of 3D seismic data and the drilling of 3 deepwater exploration wells.

Statoilhydro Indonesia/Statoil Indonesia Karama AS currently has a vacancy for the following position:

Drilling and Tax Accountant

Requirements:
The successful candidate must have the following background, experience and skills:

Responsibilities:
• Secure that all tasks related to financing, controlling and accounting activities are performed within time limits and according to governing documents in Statoil as well as laws and regulations in Indonesia;
• Make sure that the unit has the optimal organization and the necessary capacity and competence;
• Tax issues;
• Following up drilling operation activity;
• Active cooperation with Finance Manager.

Tasks
• Responsible for Drilling accounting procedures;
• Cost control of drilling activity;
• Controlling of invoice against contract;
• Ensure monthly reporting of and accounting for costs;
• Responsible for ensuring all statutory deadlines are met, and submissions are of a high quality, with a proper audit trail to source data;
• All VAT and tax compliance is handled competently and in good time;
• Responsible for the preparation and filing of all direct and indirect tax reporting;
• Prepare and follow up of forecasts and estimates;
• Follow up on internal reporting;
• Follow un and secure 100% SOX compliance for all relevant processes;
• Establish and follow up relevant procedures for Controlling, Finance and Accounting;
• Advise Finance Manager in all matters regarding finance and controlling.

Required skills (education/experience)
• Master degree in Accounting;
• Minimum 5-8 years experience in the accounting area, including dealing with direct and indirect tax;
• Experience of consolidated reporting;
• Understanding of allocation methodology principles;
• Sound knowledge and experience of SAP and Hyperion;
• Conversant with current accounting and reporting standards.

The position will be located in StatoilHydro s office in Jakarta, Indonesia. Start date is anticipated as End of this Year.
