Currently Save the Children Stabilize Aceh’s Future Environment (SAFE) program goal is to reduce food insecurity among conflict affected people in selected sub-districts of Pidie and Bireun. The program will support interventions in health/nutrition, agriculture and livelihood sectors. Stabilize Aceh’s Future Environment (SAFE) Program is looking for experienced consultant for:

CONSULTANCY FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF COCOA FARMERS
COOPERATIVE in BIREUN DISTRICT

The consultant has to be available full time for the assignment and will be responsible to develop/organize Cocoa farmers from SC catchments – Bireun into a Cooperative that will support production and marketing of organic Cocoa. This assignment will include but not limited to socializing cooperative formation to farmers and stakeholders, registration of farmers, training, selection of board members, setting the administrative structure, formulation of by-laws and registration of Cooperative as a legal entity. The length of consultancy period and activities is around 5 months. The applicants should have First or Master Degree in Economics or Agribusiness with more than 3 years working on Farmers Cooperative formation/development and management.
