UNICEF Indonesia is seeking highly qualified Indonesian national candidates to fill the following position:

Child Protection Specialists – Semarang and Surabaya

Under the guidance of the Chief of Child Protection Unit and Chief of Planning and M&E and under the direct supervision of the Chief of Field Offices, responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the projects against violence, abuse and exploitation of children and on building child protection institutions and networks, within the Child Protection programme, and overall, social policy, child and gender friendly budgeting, planning and monitoring and evaluation, as well as knowledge management. Advanced university degree in Social Sciences, or related technical field. Five years of progressively responsible professional work experience at the national and international levels in programme management, monitoring and evaluation, in a related field. Fluency in English and in Bahasa Indonesia. Knowledge of the latest developments within child protection, social policy and budgeting for children. Analytical, negotiating, communication and advocacy skills. Supervisory and managerial skills. Leadership and teamwork abilities. Computer skills, including intemet navigation and various office applications. Demonstrates ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships, both within and outside the organization.
