QUARANTINE ADVISOR

Job Description:
Reporting to the Lead Quarantine Advisor, the Quarantine Advisor is responsible for ensuring that quarantine compliance is maintained throughout the fabrication process in line with the requirements of the Quarantine Management System and the contractors Quarantine Management Plan. Liaising and providing assistance to the Contractors Quarantine team, the role will be responsible for ensuring the Contractor implements quarantine across all aspects of the fabrication process, including on-going housekeeping, training, storage, treatment and inspection until final load-out to Barrow Island. Working closely with the Company’s Quality team, quarantine verification inspections will be undertaken at key points during fabrication. The Quarantine Advisor will have an indirect reporting line to the Quarantine team based in Perth and coordinate visits and audit inspections when required.
Main tasks and specific responsibilities:
- Establish a good working relationship with the Contractors Quarantine personnel, maintain good communications and participate in regular meetings with the quarantine and quality counterparts in the Contractors organization.
- The Quarantine Advisor is responsible for ensuring quarantine compliance is maintained throughout the fabrication process in line with the requirements of the Quarantine Management System and the contractors Quarantine Management Plan.
- Ensure all aspects of the Contractors Quarantine Management Plan are implemented and undertake on-going audits and inspections to verify compliance.
- Complete Quarantine Checklists and compile regular progress reports
- Maintain records, notes and minutes of meetings of events and actions.
- Supervise applications of chemical treatments as and when required.
- Take a pro-active approach to communications, monitoring, measuring and auditing quarantine performance against key performance indicators.
- Take a proactive role and assist the Contractor where necessary in establishing the required level of quarantine in accordance with Project specifications and procedures.
- To act at all times as a member of the site team, take part in site meetings both internally and with the Contractor and keep other members of the site team informed of problems and I or areas of concern.
- Take a positive and proactive role and responsibility in safety and to foster the same in others.
- Oversee other fabrication locations as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in a similar environment where quarantine compliance is essential.
