Logistic and Custom Manager

Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as matrix manager to logistics/ invoice and customs/ purchasing team members in Indonesia
  • Set and follow up targets for the virtual team members
  • Lead country strategy and action plan creation and align activities within to logistics/ invoice and customs/ purchasing team, closely together with stakeholders
  • Ensure full compliance of customs and related laws in close cooperation with WGLS. Tariff code maintenance and audit accountability
  • Create a governance model with key stakeholders and lead reporting and decision making accordingly
  • Actively lead and support problem-solving in escalated issues from stakeholders
  • Ensure that objectives, targets and KPIs/PIs on Quality, Delivery Reliability, Cost and Lead-times are met
  • Ensure appropriate service and support to all the stakeholders in Indonesia
  • Head regular to logistics/ invoice/ customs/ purchasing team meetings and ensure timely reporting to MD and Company controller
  • Manage and develop local supplier base, relationships and negotiations in close cooperation with stakeholders
  • Manage senior relations with Wärtsilä’s local key suppliers
  • Manage the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) – process implementation locally in cooperation with area purchasing
  • Manage and follow up the implementation of strategic initiatives locally
  • Secure agreement and price list coverage, supplier capacity and reliability, taking the crossdivisional aspect into account
  • Gather and distribute best practices between the entities and ensure adequate communication between them
  • Ensure that Indirect Purchasing processes and targets are known and supported locally. Work closely with area rganization
  • Head and manage the local logistics and warehousing team
  • Understands and applies best credit management terms with suppliers
  • Permanent invitee to the Country Management Team meetings

Job Specification :

  • Having a good understanding of local legislation & labor laws
  • Excellence at negotiation and presentation skill
  • Minimum bachelor degree in any discipline
  • Having strong organizational and analytical skills, high-pressure resistant, team player
  • A minimum of 10 years experience with at least 1 year in a similar position
